Home For Christmas by many authors

Brother Robber by Helene Christaller

"The hut hung like a swallow's nest on the southern slope of the Apennines. Built of the same stone as the rock on which it stood, it appeared a part of nature, not a work of man. A small window opening was stopped with straw to keep out the cold wind that blew over the mountains."http://rosecityreader.blogspot.com

Love the description of the hut, but I think it would be pretty cold inside. :)

ENJOY the book and your weekend.

Love the photo of your Christmas reading corner.

Looks cozy.
The opening definitely sets the scene for this story. Sounds like the hut would be much more comfortable in summertime than in winter. I doubt if that straw kept out much of the cold.
An anthology is the perfect thing to read at this busy time of year. Looks like the editor collected stories from a good variety of authors too. I hope you're enjoying the book.
My Friday post features CHORUS LINES, CAVIAR AND CORPSES.
